Naw Man He's Close is the seventh level of Rage, the second chapter of Marathon Infinity.

You are under Tycho on this level, and you are boarding the Boomer. Your aim is to open the rest of the airlocks to allow Tycho's troopers to engage. The main enemy on this level is the Vacuum-enabled Bob, or VacBob. They are armed with Fusion Pistols, and different firing patterns apply to the different units. Blue VacBobs fire three or four normal bolts then a charged bolt; green VacBobs will fire a continuous string of normal bolts. Neither actually drop ammunition. Compliers also appear on the level. Use the automap as much as possible; enemy Bobs still appear on it, even in parts of the map you haven't yet accessed.

You enter the level falling through the first airlock courtyard, hosted by two allied Troopers. Wait for them to do their bit, and pick off the VacBobs behind the recesses one by one. Continue as you open each blast door. The rest of the level involves basically the same concept- lie in wait for them, and then pick them off one by one. The best weapon is the Fusion Pistol, if you have one, since all enemies on this level are vulnerable to it. The airlocks you open are all visible from the windows with the switches that control them; recharge and save often. If you can, have the pistol charged before every corner, you never know. The last terminal is after the air-duct maze. Save, open the last airlock (do not enter that room in the right corner- the door will trap you if you enter it), and read the terminal to leave.

  • In the westernmost plasma room, there is a secret on the north wall. Behind is a rocket pack, and a route to a secret Rocket Launcher.
